We love seeing how athletes all over the country are getting creative with how they get to keep their competitive spirit alive, and Sandi’s D.I.Y. pole vault pit she built with her dad is at the top of our list for 2020 COVID-ingenuity in sports. ESPN’s Youtube channel picked up this meet and not only do you get to see gifted athletes jumping for joy that they get to compete again, you also get a great behind-the-scenes look at Sandi’s sweet family, ten of the world’s greatest pole vaulting athletes who are participating, and how this fun event came to be.
